In this course, you'll explore key concepts, terminology, and cultural contexts that shape gender. This foundation will support learners in building a deeper understanding of identity, expression, and the environments that influence how they are experienced and expressed. Upon completion of this course, you will learn: 1) Common terms and affirming language related to gender; 2) What gender expression is and how it is shaped by access, safety, and social context; 3) How to identify transphobia and recognize common behaviors rooted in anti-trans harm; 4) How to apply actions and practices that support and affirm transgender and nonbinary people.
